Lisa is a Valley native and a lifelong Scottsdale resident. She attended Scottsdale public schools and graduated from Arizona State University (ASU). Lisa got her JD (Juris Doctor) at St. John’s School of Law in New York. After earning her JD, Lisa returned home to begin her career in commercial litigation. For over two decades, Lisa represented homeowners plagued by construction defects resulting from shoddy construction, recovering millions of dollars for her clients.
However, Lisa’s most significant accomplishment is raising her beautiful daughter, Savannah, in Scottsdale. Savannah recently moved to Tucson to become a Wildcat at the University of Arizona (UofA)!
Lisa has been active in our community her entire life. She previously served on the Scottsdale City Council from 2008 to 2012, where she led the charge pushing for meaningful structural changes to the budget process, including a City Charter amendment, which moved the City Treasurer to the position of Charter Officer, reporting directly to the Council and the citizens. Her strong convictions as a fiscal conservative were critical to Scottsdale’s successful recovery following the great recession. These essential principles will remain a top priority for Lisa during her campaign to become the Mayor of Scottsdale.
In addition to her service as an elected member of the Scottsdale City Council, Lisa served on numerous boards and committees, including the Experience Scottsdale Board of Directors, the City’s Audit Committee, the Water Subcommittee, and the Scottsdale Westworld Subcommittee.
Lisa is passionate about promoting the city’s hospitality industry. She is committed to maintaining and growing Scottsdale as a premiere destination for tourists throughout the county and the world.
Throughout her life, Lisa has dedicated countless hours to serving the community of Scottsdale, children, and older individuals. She served as a member of the O’Connor House Avon Program, a member of the National Advisory Council of TGen’s Center for Rare Childhood Disease Research, a Chapter Vice President of the National Charity League, and a member of the Arabian Horse Association. Lisa has also served on the Scottsdale City Water Subcommittee, Audit Committee, and Westworld Subcommittee.
Lisa is a proud member of the Scottsdale Charros Foundation Board, where she co-chairs the Community Outreach Committee and serves on the donations committee, which furthers the organization’s goals by raising money and awareness for underprivileged Scottsdale youth and older adults.
As mayor of Scottsdale, Lisa will leverage her experience as an attorney, councilwoman, and volunteer to protect Scottsdale’s future, bring transparency to city government, and improve the lives of Scottsdale residents.
